IPCC releases a special report on climate change and land.

The IPCC releases a special report on climate change, desertification, land degradation, sustainable land management, food security, and greenhouse gas fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems. The report has some very key conclusions, including emphasizing the need for conservation of high-carbon ecosystems (such as peatlands, wetlands, rangelands, mangroves and forests), the considerable risks associated with biofuels and the need for changes in consumption patterns, including the need to eat less meat. The report notes that it is not too late to stay below 1.5C of warming, but that we need urgent action! See the report here:
